
Indigo Village
PRECISION completes the rehabilitation of the Indigo Village Apartments in Fallon, Nevada.
Formerly named Sunridge Quarter, the 48-unit low-income family development owned by the Nevada Rural Housing Authority, has undergone a $3.9 million dollar renovation. The goals of the rehabilitation were successfully reached:
- Modern interiors
- Expanded common areas
- New site amenities including play equipment, desert landscaping and raised garden beds.
- Increased site security
- Improved handicap accessibility
- More energy efficient and lower future utility costs
The rehabilitation included new overlay of the parking lot including stripping and parking bumpers, new playground including equipment and play surface, BBQs, picnic tables, half-court basketball court, community garden, new trash enclosures, new site signage and fencing and the convergence of high water use landscaping to xeriscaping. A new stand-alone storage building was built for resident's whose storage is not on their new porch.
All units were rehabilitated with new paint, flooring, cabinets, low water use plumbing fixtures, new energy efficient appliances, including dishwashers and garbage disposals, new porches & patios with storage on some, new tank less water heaters and new HVAC systems consisting of gas fired forced air furnace and refrigerated air units.
Two new multi-purpose rooms in addition to kitchenette, computer area and restroom were added to the community office building. As well new mail box area, paint, flooring, low water use plumbing fixtures, energy efficient appliances, including dishwasher and garbage disposal, tank less water heaters and HVAC system were installed.
