Rocky Hill
39 Units
Rocky Hill consists of 39 high-quality permanent rental homes for people earning 15% to 60% of the Area Median Income. Twenty-nine units are reserved solely for veterans, with the remainder having a veteran's preference.
The project is designed to achieve LEED Gold certification and the innovative structural system is comprised of 54 modified steel shipping containers and wood framing.
"We're proud to be a part of this effort," says Thomas Dawson, CEO of Precision General Commercial Contractors. "The goal is to provide the best housing situation for these veterans while strengthening the community interactions by offering amenities such as community gardens, a central zócalo, and art installations that will be accessible to residents and people from the surrounding neighborhood."
As one of the only new affordable developments targeting veterans in Solano County, this project expands regional housing opportunities for those with few affordable options.
The innovative teamwork to make this happen is what PGCC excels in.
