55,610 UNITS COMPLETED ACROSS THE US

Sierra Sands

SIERRA SANDS

Santa Maria, CA

Sierra Sands is a newly completed housing community in Santa Maria, delivering 184 units across eight buildings for approximately 650 residents. Construction advanced in 8 phases over a broad site, requiring steady coordination among field teams and trade partners to keep each building progressing in sequence. The community project includes a 1-megawatt solar system to serve all residents, all electric HVAC systems, tile roofs, and 9’-0” ceiling heights throughout.

Hill Street

HILL STREET APARTMENTS

Belmont, CA

Hill Street Apartments is a new 37-unit housing community underway in Belmont, developed by Linc Housing. The project includes a mix of thoughtfully planned homes across a compact site that requires careful coordination among trades. Current work includes a two-story podium and a fully panelized wall and floor system which is progressing through structural and site activities, with crews focusing on maintaining steady sequencing and keeping the project advancing safely and efficiently.

The Nest on Exposition is a fully volumetric modular, four-story interim housing community now under construction in Los Angeles, delivered in collaboration with Factory OS. Precision General is installing modular units, which are fabricated off-site and assembled on a tight urban footprint adjacent to the USC Campus. The modular approach provides predictable and affordable production.

The community is designed to provide privacy, stability, and essential support services for individuals transitioning out of homelessness. The project is progressing on schedule, with installation activities continuing through upcoming phases as The Nest moves closer to completion.

BUILDING AFFORDABLE HOUSING IN A CHANGING COST ENVIRONMENT

Delivering housing today means working within a familiar set of industry pressures: elevated material pricing, a competitive labor market, and funding models that require coordination across multiple public and private partners. These factors shape how projects are conceived, budgeted, and built, influencing decisions long before crews arrive on site.

Regulatory steps also carry particular weight in affordable housing. Jurisdictional reviews, environmental requirements, and detailed permitting processes are all standard components of the development timeline. Each step is essential, but they require consistent management to keep projects advancing.

Within this environment, cost-effective strategies have become central to delivering affordable housing responsibly and on schedule. This is where construction partners like Precision play a meaningful role. Early coordination helps clarify scopes and identify potential cost pressures and a building game plan that incorporates the best and most cost-effective strategies including Modular Volumetric projects and full panelized projects before they affect budgets. Early communication with trade partners supports steadier schedules and reduces the likelihood of cost escalation—an important factor for projects operating within tight contingencies.

By grounding its work in practical, transparent, and efficient construction practices, Precision helps developers lead with solutions that make the best use of limited resources. These approaches strengthen project predictability and support the long-term performance of the housing being built.

Together, these efforts help more affordable housing move from planning to completion—expanding access to well-built homes for communities across the state.

People & Purpose

PGCC ESOP & B CORP MILESTONES

Precision General Commercial Contractors marked two meaningful milestones this year: earning Certified B Corporation status and becoming a 49% employee-owned ESOP company. These achievements reflect commitments that have shaped the company for years—working with accountability, transparency, and care for employees, clients, communities, and the environment. B Corp certification recognizes Precision General’s adherence to rigorous social and environmental standards and reinforces the company’s focus on steady, ongoing improvement.

Transitioning to an Employee Stock Ownership Plan builds on that foundation by giving nearly half of the company’s ownership to the people who contribute to its work every day. Shared ownership supports a strong, engaged culture and encourages a consistent focus on quality and purpose across all projects. Together, these milestones reflect Precision General’s belief that how we build matters and deepen the company’s commitment to serving communities with integrity.

The Crucible

COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP: THE CRUCIBLE

PGCC is proud to support The Crucible, a Bay Area nonprofit that expands access to hands-on learning through the industrial arts. Their programs introduce students of all ages to welding, glassblowing, blacksmithing, woodworking, and other creative disciplines that blend craftsmanship with practical skill. Accessibilitys commitment to accessibility ensures that people can explore new interests, build confidence, and gain experience that can lead to long-term opportunity.

This partnership reflects Precision General’s ongoing support for education and workforce development. Helping expand access to creative, skills-based learning strengthens pathways into the trades and encourages the next generation of makers, builders, and problem-solvers. It’s a meaningful way to invest in the communities where we work and in the people who will help shape them.

Ryan Herendeen

EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT: RYAN HERENDEEN

We are proud to recognize employee Ryan Herendeen, who served as Master of Ceremonies at this year’s American Legion Veterans Day Program hosted by The American Legion Reams Post 182 in Suisun. His involvement reflects a continued commitment to service and leadership, both within the organization and in the community.

Veterans Day offers an important moment to honor those who have served in uniform and the values they embody—responsibility, dedication, and care for others. Precision General is grateful for the veterans among its team and partners whose service strengthens the communities where the company works and builds.
